My Professional Experience
Ohio University
August 2024 - May 2025
Research Assistant
As a Research Assistant at Ohio University, I supported graduate student researcher Nathan Stuart on a study focused on stress, rumination, and human behavior. His research examined the relationship between stress responses and psychological processes, particularly surrounding cortisol and rumination in daily life.
Through this experience, I gained valuable exposure to research methods, structured data collection, confidentiality procedures, and the importance of maintaining accuracy and consistency when working with sensitive information. Working within a research environment strengthened my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while following established research protocols.
Beyond technical skills, this experience deepened my appreciation for behavioral research and its role in understanding human experiences, decision-making, and stress-related patterns. It also reinforced the importance of professionalism, organization, and ethical responsibility when conducting psychological research.
